1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve efficiency, and provide usage information to site owners.

2. How we use cookies

WorkClocking uses a limited set of cookies to operate our service securely and reliably. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. Types of cookies we use

  • Essential (Strictly Necessary): Required for core functionality such as authentication, CSRF protection, and session persistence. These cannot be switched off in our systems.
  • Preferences: Optional cookies that remember UI choices like table density or last used filters.
  • Analytics (Anonymous/Aggregate): Help us understand feature usage and performance to improve reliability. Collected in aggregate; no ad tracking.

4. Specific cookies (examples)

  • wc_session — essential session cookie for authentication (expires on logout/timeout).
  • csrf_token — essential security token to protect forms and API actions (short-lived).
  • prefs_* — optional preference cookies (e.g., page size, theme, recently used filters).
  • analytics_anon — optional, anonymous analytics to improve stability and UX.

5. Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings (allow, block, delete). Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using the app. For guidance, see your browser’s help pages.

6. Third-party services

We may use trusted providers for hosting, error logging, and analytics. Where cookies are involved, they are configured for functional or aggregate analytics only and are subject to data-processing agreements.

7. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology or regulation. If changes are material, we will provide an in-app notice. Effective date is shown below.

Effective date: November 8, 2025
